Last week, the school held this term’s STEAM Day. All students engaged in activities linked to a ‘Medical Marvels’ theme with a focus on medical technology. We welcomed parents from medical professions and presenters from outside agencies to enhance the learning experience of the children who enjoyed finding out more about nursing and how technology is used in the medical world. A Qatar Red Crescent ambulance visited the school on Wednesday, giving the children the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about how the structure of the ambulance and how resources on board are designed to save lives. Also, on Wednesday, Texas A&M University at Qatar led a special STEAM assembly. Children were mesmerised and awed by the team as chemistry became alchemy. Thank you to Ms Zyed, STEAM Coordinator, for making the day such a success and the Texas A&M University at Qatar team for creating such a memorable learning experience for the children.
After the Eid holiday, the school will be visited by the IPC (International Primary Curriculum) accreditation team. We look forward to showcasing our school and celebrating the wonderful teaching and learning which happens every day in our classrooms.
Sunday 16 June is the day when our Year 6 students visit the Madinat Khalifa Campus to experience a day in the life of a Year 7 student. We hope our students are excited about the day and thinking about any questions they may like to ask.
Have a very happy Eid holiday.
