Dear Nord Anglia family members,

I know that all of our lives have been affected by the Coronavirus and the many challenges it is creating for families and communities.

As members of our Nord Anglia family, I wanted to write to you because I know how important a role our school has in providing a reassuring presence and stability for your child in an increasingly uncertain world. I speak for all of my colleagues, when I say it means a great deal to us to be entrusted with your child’s education.

Looking after the wellbeing and education of our students is Nord Anglia’s first priority and we have been working closely with international and local health and education authorities to achieve this objective, while battling the outbreak’s impact on our daily lives.

At the time of writing this letter to you, 65 of our 66 school campuses are closed. We have used our scale to draw on the expertise of our 9,000 educators globally to ensure that we deliver an outstanding virtual school experience for all of our students in times like these. We know that the normality and routine of the school day matters more than ever to our students and we want our virtual school experience to inspire them to learn, talk and laugh with their teachers, classmates and friends wherever they are in the world. Using the very best learning techniques, technology and the talents of our worldwide teaching community, we will make sure your child’s personalised learning maintains the high quality and engaging experience they’ve come to love in their school’s classrooms.

We care deeply about your child’s wellbeing which is why our lessons and programmes are focused not just on academics, but also incorporate important physical, social and creative activities to nurture our students in a holistic way. In the coming days, we will be sharing with you and the other 66,000 Nord Anglia families around the world further guidance from our teachers on how to help your child make the most of their virtual school experience.

When it is safe to do so, we look forward to welcoming you and your child back into our school’s campus. In the meantime, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this message and assure you that our students’ learning and wellbeing are at the heart of every decision we take.

Yours,

Andrew Fitzmaurice
