Native from Caracas, Venezuela, I obtained my degree 23 years ago as a Higher Technician, accredited to work with children with Mental Retardation and Learning Difficulties. After that I completed a degree in the same area of Special Education, since I considered that the tools to understand the learning processes in children were more extensive, continuing later with a specialisation in Educational Management.
All my work experiences have been in my native country. I began working in a hospital, attending to the basic educational needs of children who for health reasons had to remain in seclusion for many days.
My next jobs have been in regular classrooms with pre-school children which I have enjoyed to the fullest, as it is a stage that allows the development of many skills, key abilities and determinants in the development of children.
I arrived with my family in Doha in January 2019. In the process of visiting and assessing various schools and researching which would be the best school for our 4 year old son, we discovered Compass and we found the school, for many reasons, to be the best for our little boy. Once there I began to actively participate in FCS (Friends of Compass School) and so I became more aware of the excellent work environment and professionalism that characterise the school, feeling more and more attracted to be part of it. Fortunately, I was given the great opportunity to be part of the staff. As a Learning Assistant, I am now very excited to undertake my first international experience surrounded by happy children to whom I intend to give the best of me and people from whom I will undoubtedly learn a lot.
I really enjoy traveling and meeting, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
