My name is Anna, and I am from Dublin, Ireland. Having completed my Undergraduate degree in History, Politics and International Relations from University College Dublin in 2013, I moved to Mombasa, Kenya, where I lived for a year managing an educational volunteering programme in a small village, working with a local school. This experience was to inspire me to train as a teacher, and I gained my iPGCE from Sunderland University in 2017, while living in Dubai.
I have been teaching Year 1 for four years, and always try to make my classroom as creative, open, and fun as possible. I enjoy making each day different and encouraging independence and compassion in my students. When not teaching, I enjoy cooking, reading, and of course travelling. Having lived in the Middle East for five years, I’ve seen a lot of fantastic countries!
