I am from County Tyrone, Ireland. I have a Degree in Sport and Physical Education and completed my PGDE in Primary Education.
I started my teaching career in Liverpool, England in 2017. I have always worked in the primary sector and have experience across every Key Stage. Since moving to Qatar in 2018, I have worked as a Year 4 and Year 5 teacher in Key Stage 2. I spent three years at a British Curriculum school before moving to Compass International School in 2021. I love my job and have found that delivering a high-quality education to young children is an extremely rewarding career choice.
I have one sister. My father works as an engineer and my mother is in the catering industry.
I have many interests and hobbies. These mostly consist of some form of sport. I enjoy playing football, GAA (National games of Ireland) and golf. I am a big fan of the cinema and reading as well. I support Arsenal: my favourite footballer of all time is Thierry Henry. I play for Qatar GAA and have met many friends and built strong relationships since arriving in Doha in 2018.
I am extremely passionate about children being physically active and experiencing a wide range of sports and activities so enjoy leading extra- curricular activities to share this passion. I value the importance of contributing to the wider curriculum and ensuring children thrive outside of the classroom as well as in.
