I have spent three years working at Compass International School Doha here in Doha with my wife and two children, where I have been a Year 1 teacher, a Year 4 teacher, Milepost Lead and recently the Deputy Head of Primary. This academic year, I am working in Year 5 as Milepost Lead.
I have been lucky enough to also work in schools in China, Venezuela and Mexico and I have had fantastic but different experiences of working in these countries. I truly believe that working in so many countries has made me an international citizen and I use these experiences to feedback into my teaching where possible.
I am privileged to have the opportunity to engage, inspire and motivate children to become lifelong learners and fulfil their potential. I aspire to teach creative yet challenging lessons with the children’s learning always at the forefront of what I do.
I am an innovative teacher who fully understands the importance of a 21st century education and am enthusiastic about using information technologies in many aspects of a children’s learning experience.
Outside of school I play rugby, football, run marathons, organise and lead fitness sessions, and I am lucky enough to do all of these things in Doha.
“To teach is to touch a life forever,” is a mantra I follow in my teaching career. Being a teacher is more than teaching; it is about building excellent relationships with all children and parents whom I teach to ensure they achieve the best they can.
