After graduating with a law degree, I gained my Post Graduate Certificate in Education in the UK in 2010. I began my teaching career in the south west of England and taught in KS1 for two years before embarking on my international teaching career. Over the last seven years, I have worked across three different Nord Anglia schools in Vietnam, Hong Kong and most recently Myanmar.
My experience in Asia has provided me with a sound understanding of teaching and supporting children in an international setting as well as meeting the needs of EAL learners. I have taught across all primary year groups and this has helped me to develop a good sense of learning progression and the development of children across the primary ages.
I am passionate about making learning active, engaging and challenging with opportunities for children to develop their enquiry skills and their ability to work collaboratively. As well as academic success, I value the importance of each child being a confident, globally minded, happy individual who can be proud of their achievements.
Outside of school, I enjoy travelling and, when possible, like to combine my love of new places with my interests in scuba diving, snowboarding, cycling and trekking.
