I was awarded with a Bachelor of Education with Irish from St Mary’s University College Belfast, along with a certificate in bilingual education in 2017. I moved to Doha after graduating and worked here for two years as a Year 1 teacher and, later, as Year 1 Team Leader in 2018 before joining Compass International School Doha in 2019. I was also the joint coordinator of Philosophy for Children (P4C) in my previous school. I thoroughly enjoyed this role which involved working with children throughout the school.
I am very passionate about bilingual education, having studied this for four years. I have experience in immersion education in Ireland and I am very interested in this specific type of education. I love languages and studied Spanish in the south of Spain in 2015.
In my free time, I love to travel as widely as possible so I can experience new cultures. I also enjoy playing sports such as Gaelic Football and Camogie, as well as running. When I’m not playing sports, I am usually playing music.
