I knew from a very early age that I wanted to work with children. During high school I travelled to South Africa for my work experience in a hospice for children. It was at this moment in time that I knew I wanted to make a difference.
I believe passionately that education is a powerful gift that can unlock opportunities in life for every child and adult, irrespective of the barriers they face. I believe that we are all learners with talents waiting to be rewarded in success and celebration.
I hold a BA Honours in Primary Education specialising in Special Educational Needs which I obtained at a university in England. I have been a teacher for 10 years now. It only seems like yesterday that I started! Everyday is different in my role as a teacher and it is never boring!
I have acquired vast experience teaching in a diverse range of schools across Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 within a variety of year groups and have taken management leads within different schools. I have an in-depth knowledge of both the National Curriculum and pedagogy across these Key Stages.
I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education. More than anything though, it is the success of every child that makes my job such a rewarding one.
As well as being dedicated to the teaching profession, I also enjoy travelling, experiencing different cultures and exercising.
