Deputy Head of Campus, Primary, IPC Leader and Year 6 Teacher

    Lorraine Bastone

I have been teaching for 20 years now, spending the first ten of these in the UK, in Gravesend before returning to the West Country, Somerset where I now call home.

My first international post was Kuwait where I spent 7 years before moving nearer home to Warsaw, Poland.  In my previous role I was Learning Leader for Year 6 and KS2 English.

I have various hobbies, I love music and help to organise the Years 4, 5, and 6 production each year and with various choirs I am a member of.  I love going to the cinema (they have excellent A/C) and run the staff movie club as well as the afterschool Years 2 and 3 film club, any excuse to watch some Disney in school.

Mile Post 3 Leader and Year 5 Teacher

    Douglas Allan

I have spent three years working at Compass International School Doha here in Doha with my wife and two children, where I have been a Year 1 teacher, a Year 4 teacher and Milepost Lead. This academic year, I am working in Year 5 as Milepost Lead.

I have been lucky enough to also work in schools in China, Venezuela and Mexico and I have had fantastic but different experiences of working in these countries. I truly believe that working in so many countries has made me an international citizen and I use these experiences to feedback into my teaching where possible.
