Deputy Head of Campus, Primary, IPC Leader and Year 6 Teacher

    Lorraine Bastone

I have been teaching for 20 years now, spending the first ten of these in the UK, in Gravesend before returning to the West Country, Somerset where I now call home.

My first international post was Kuwait where I spent 7 years before moving nearer home to Warsaw, Poland.  In my previous role I was Learning Leader for Year 6 and KS2 English.

I have various hobbies, I love music and help to organise the Years 4, 5, and 6 production each year and with various choirs I am a member of.  I love going to the cinema (they have excellent A/C) and run the staff movie club as well as the afterschool Years 2 and 3 film club, any excuse to watch some Disney in school.

My journey in education began in the summer of 2006, when I worked for Bradford Council as part of their summer activity programme for children. I was instantly hooked by the all-encompassing responsibilities that came with educating children, and set my sights towards a career in teaching and learning.
