I graduated from the University of Winchester in 2011, with a degree in Primary Education specialising in Drama. Since then, I have worked in schools in Surrey, London and Houston, teaching Year One up to Year Six, with experience of leading geography across Key Stage One. In 2015 I was appointed as Year One teacher at the British International School of Houston, my first international teaching post. I was fortunate to teach children from a range of countries and cultures. In 2016 I worked alongside the STEAM team, ensuring the curiosity days were suitable for Early Years and Key Stage One. I also became a member of the primary maths team, editing the policy to increase consistency across the whole of primary, a role I enjoy at Madinat Khalifa.
I am lucky to have such supportive friends and family – some have already planned their visit. I am originally from Surrey, in the UK, where I lived with my parents, my brother, my dog and my cat. My hobbies consist of reading, visiting the theatre, going to the beach, swimming, live music and travelling. My favourite colour is orange, I love pandas and my favourite foods are feta cheese, Italian or anything sweet.
