Year 6 Teacher

I am from Wales and obtained my B.Ed in Primary Education from Exeter University. After my first year of teaching in Plymouth, I taught in Scotland and then in London for four years as a special needs teacher.

My husband and I decided to travel overseas and we moved between Australia and London for the next ten years. I taught in Perth for four years where I was able to further develop my skills as a teacher.

Before moving to Doha in 2014, we spent six amazing years living in Japan. During that time I worked as a supply teacher at an international school in Yokohama.

My three children have been students at Compass School since 2014. As a teacher I love having the opportunity to teach in a Nord Anglia School. As a parent, I am delighted that my children will be provided with an education that provides exceptional experiences, develops confidence and will enable them to become independent learners and thinkers.

In my spare time I enjoy travelling with my family. My hobbies also include cooking, reading, playing squash and tennis.

My favourite quote is:

‘In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can’ - Nikos Kazantzakis

For me to ‘be ambitious’ means to set your goals high and never give up. There are no limitations to how great your successes can be!
