Year 10 Leader and Maths Teacher
I gained my PGCSE from the Institute of Education in London in 2011. Following this I worked in North London for four years as a Mathematics teacher and two years as a Head of House. I thoroughly enjoyed this role as pastoral leader for a vertical group of students in years 7 to 10.

English Teacher and Year 8 Form Tutor
After completing an English Literature degree at the University of Liverpool, I was delighted to fulfil my dream of training to be an English teacher at the University of Manchester. From day one, I have enjoyed working with young people and haven’t looked back since. Following on from this, I have worked in the same wonderful school in East London for the past three years.
Head of Year 11, Key Stage 4 Coordinator, Teacher of IGCSE and...
I joined Madinat Khalifa in August 2014 as of Head of Years 10 and 11 and teaching IGCSE Business Studies and IB Business Management.
I hold a BA Honours in International Business Management, spending a year at the Universidad de Malaga and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education for Business Studies (14-19).
EAL Teacher at Madinat Khalifa and Additional Learning Needs C...
My background is in psychology and psychotherapy with a focus on well-being and mindfulness.
I am originally from Poland, however shortly after graduating high school I moved to the UK to obtain my undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, where I also worked as a counsellor supporting people dealing with variety of issues, including special needs. I have always been keen on helping children and adults in their learning journey and improving their well-being. This led me to work for schools and university in Chile as a psychologist, personal development facilitator and counsellor and now as an ALN coordinator and EAL teacher at Compass.
PE Teacher
Originally from New Zealand, I gained a Bachelors Degree in Sport & Exercise Science in 2013 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Strength & Conditioning in 2014. I then had a brief career in the Strength & Conditioning Industry where I was fortunate enough to train professional level athletes in the USA and New Zealand. I have also worked as a Personal Trainer in the UK and here in Doha. Since these experiences, I decided to pursue teaching and coaching as I have found working with young children and teenagers to be far more rewarding and fulfilling.
Geography Teacher
I am originally from Cornwall, Southwest England. After graduating from the University of Southampton, I moved to Qatar and completed my PGCE whilst working at Compass. I now work in the Geography department and as an examinations officer. Teaching Geography in an International School with students from different nationalities is so interesting because each person has different knowledge to share about the world. I am passionate about sustainability and working towards a better environment to live in and enjoy teaching the importance of this to a new generation. In my free time, I enjoy keeping fit, traveling with my husband, walking my poodle, and playing with my Newborn daughter.
Arabic Teacher
I have been teaching Arabic for more than 30 years. I gained my experience across different countries. I worked as an Arabic Head of Department for The American Schools of Yemen for more than 18 years. I Joined Compass International School Doha in 2016 as an Arabic Teacher.
I work on making Arabic language enjoyable for the students. I believe that the atmosphere in classroom that I am teaching is quite serious, but I negotiate the level of seriousness in the class with some fun. I am a fan of using different types of technology to improve the quality of learning and to attract student’s attention during the class.
