Year 8 Leader and Maths Teacher

I gained my PGCSE from the Institute of Education in London in 2011. Following this I worked in North London for four years as a Mathematics teacher and two years as a Head of House. I thoroughly enjoyed this role as pastoral leader for a vertical group of students in years 7 to 10.

For two years, I lived in South America’s largest city, São Paulo, in Brazil. Working in a small British international school, leading the Mathematics department. I designed the curriculum for our Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development Programme. In Brazil I had the most amazing time sambaing, carnivalling and travelling. Portuguese is a beautiful language and over those two years I learnt to speak and read it, although I still have a long way to go!

In my free time, I love to travel as widely as possible, tasting a variety of cultures and exploring new ways of life. I also love photography and video editing.

Now I am settled in Doha, it is a very up and coming city and I seem to follow where the World Cup goes. I enjoy experiencing a very different culture and being in another part of the world.
