I have previously volunteered to teach English over a Summer at a Junior School in Koh Samui, Thailand, combining my love of travelling and facilitating the progress and future of others.
On a personal level I enjoy netball, reading, studying (at times), spending time with my younger siblings (when in the UK) and travelling in order to experience different cultures and of course to see ‘the big wide world’.
What I would like to achieve in Madinat Khalifa is : To facilitate students in their personal journey to achieve their aspirations and in doing so making a positive impact on both their personal and academic progress.
My favourite quote is: "Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead, where there is no path and leave a trail." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
What be ambitious means to me: Being on a journey to achieve your aspirations, setting yourself a personal challenge or a target and never giving up - If you don’t succeed at first, try, try again.
