I come to Doha from a role as IB Coordinator at The British International School of Houston – another Nord Anglia Education school. The aspirations of Nord Anglia Education and the global network of support it offers to teachers, students, and parents alike is one of the reasons I wished to remain in the ‘family’ of schools.
My educational philosophy is that “school should be a safe and happy place where a child can thrive” and I strive to create a caring, harmonious and safe environment for students and parents and colleagues in all of the schools I work. I am knowledgeable and passionate about the IB Diploma Programme and would welcome all questions related to this so I can share my enthusiasm. I am also looking forward to the teaching of History and of Theory of Knowledge. These two subjects are wonderful and promote the real-world engagement and thought needed for informed and knowledgeable interaction with the modern world.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to shape the development of these subjects and the IB Diploma Programme in Madinat Khalifa in the coming years and build on the great success already in place.
I arrive in Qatar alongside my wife, Louise, and my two daughters. We are all looking forward to becoming part of community and embracing the opportunities given to us through life in the Middle East.
