After studying Medical Sciences and Humanities at Swansea University, I decided to undertake an MSc in Biomedical Science at the University of Wolverhampton, specializing in Microbiology. Following this, I looked at the impact teachers had on me throughout my education and decided to attend a teacher training information event in my hometown and completed my PGCE (Schools Direct) with the University of Worcester, graduating in 2016.
I went on to work in two very different schools within the Black Country before deciding that it was time to take the opportunity to teach abroad!
Having visited Doha many times, it was the perfect choice and I can’t wait to spend more time in this city and really get to know the culture in the long-term, as well as using it as a base to explore different cultures and travel as much as possible.
In my free time I enjoy watching as many movies as possible, playing netball and attempting to cook. I love being outside and am looking forward to trying paddle-boarding and kayaking now that I am in a country where the weather won’t freeze me to death!
