In 1995 I gained a BA Honours Degree in Hispanic Studies from the University of Nottingham and afterwards gained a Post Graduate teaching qualification from the University of Liverpool. I have taught Modern Foreign Languages in both Primary and Secondary schools firstly in Liverpool and since 2006, I have worked in international schools in Malaysia, the Cayman Islands, China and now here in Qatar.
I have worked for Nord Anglia since 2013 and I am excited to continue to work in an international environment. Teaching students with such a broad background of cultures, languages and outlooks can be very inspiring and I am looking forward to continuing this in Doha. I was keen to come to live and work in Qatar as I have never visited this region before and I am keen to travel and learn as much as I can about the people and culture of the area.
I am married to Yvonne who is a Chemistry teacher here at Compass International School, Doha. My two main interests are sport and travel. I have been to many countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. I enjoy visiting new locations, sampling the local cuisine and seeing the main places of interest. I like to keep fit and play a variety of sports but my greatest passion is football; I still play regularly and I am a keen follower of Liverpool FC.
