I started my teaching career as a PE specialist as I was a keen sportsperson and involved in many sports, such as martial arts, football, table tennis and athletics. I had the privilege to grade for my 3degree black belt in Mauritius at the age of 25. I am also a keen golfer and recently brought my handicap down to 11. I do believe that, the subject I teach, Mathematics is like any sport - The more you practice the better you become.
I left South Africa 10 years ago, where I was the deputy principal to go and work in the United States on an outreach teaching programme joining the Visiting International Faculty Programme. Two years later I came to Qatar where I joined Al Jazeera Academy and then Doha British School where I became HOD for Mathematics. I moved to Compass International School Doha in 2014 as a Mathematics Teacher.
I have found the students at Compass extremely respectful to teachers and their peers. The teachers are very supportive and helpful.
