Head of Geography

I am excited to join Madinat Khalifa as Head of Geography. I studied LLB Law and Politics in Cardiff, and started my career as an accountant with PwC. While auditing in the public sector in schools and hospitals I decide to change career to train as a Geography teacher and have now been teaching in the UK and the Philippines for the past 18 years. I believe everyone should be a lifelong learner and recently achieved my MSc in Teaching and Learning with Oxford University in the UK.

I have high expectations of students and encourage them to be ambitious in every area of their lives, both at school and at home. They are the leaders of the future and I encourage them to take responsibility for their place in the world making the most of the opportunities they have to influence change.

I love travelling and have visited every continent. I am looking forward to exploring Qatar and the surrounding region – hopefully learning to speak Arabic too!
