Initially I was the Head of Science at The British School of Guangzhou in 2015 I became the Assistant Head of Secondary, having responsibility for the pastoral care of students. I am a strong advocate for women leaders, especially in education where it is important that the young people that we teach have positive role models to look up to.
Having worked for Nord Anglia Education for five years in China, I was pleased to move to another Nord Anglia school. Being part of a large educational group has allowed me to continually develop professionally, something that is so important in this rapidly changing world. My move to Compass International School Doha as a teacher of Science (Chemistry) allows me to get back to doing more of what I enjoy - which is being in the classroom, teaching.
I enjoy the challenge of living in a country with a different culture and the opportunities that this offers. In my time spent working overseas, I have been able to travel extensively around Asia and the Americas and I hope to be able to explore the delights that the Middle East has to offer. As well as travel, I like to keep fit and also enjoy watching sport, in particular my favourite team, Everton.
