    Early Years 1 Teacher

    Manieta Roman

Originally from South Africa, my family and I embarked on our international journey in 2001. My husband taught in the North Carolina public school system, while I accepted an administrative position in the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), for the three years we set up home in the USA.

Although my initial training and qualification was in the secretarial field, I grew increasingly attracted to the passion that teaching children promised. With this thought in mind, I decided to further my studies in education, acquiring a BA degree in Education, as well as a Certificate in Teaching. I also enrolled with the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, completing a Master Degree in Special Needs Education in 2018.

    Early Years 2 Teacher

    Tracy Newton

Hello, my name is Tracy and I am from England. Ever since I was at school myself, I have always wanted to be a teacher. Over the last nineteen years, I have gained extensive knowledge and experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage and how children learn and develop both in a teaching capacity and as a deputy manager. I started my career as a deputy manager in a Nursery where I worked for thirteen years. I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2014 with a BA Honours Degree in Early Years and Early Years Teachers Status. Before moving to Qatar two years ago I worked as an Early Years Teacher in a school in the UK. I have two years’ experience working in an International School in Qatar and I am looking forward to joining the team at Themaid.
