I studied Drama and Music at Northampton University, always knowing I wanted to use my degree to take me on to a PGCE which I completed at Exeter. I have taught in three very different schools in my ten years of teaching since, along with a couple of stints as a supply teacher all over Sussex, which I loved. I find it hard to choose a favourite subject because I just love to learn anything new whilst preparing to teach.
I'm so looking forward to new challenges and a different way of life in Doha, it's been an ambition of mine to work abroad since I qualified. I learn such a lot from the people I meet and work with, and can hopefully give a lot of myself to this exciting new chapter at Compass International School Doha.
Out of work I have two main passions; music and sport. I play rugby and have been a follower of the beautiful game since I was small. I love running and swimming too, or even just chasing a frisbee. I play a few instruments and have enjoyed being in and leading various bands and choirs and even running a small Open Mic Night. Looking forward to seeing what live music there is to discover in Qatar, and maybe bringing my own!
