I completed my Bachelors in Education at the University of Limerick in Ireland and spent several years teaching in the Irish state education system before moving to international teaching. I moved to Qatar in 2008 and was delighted to be part of the team at Compass International School Al Gharaffa for seven years as head of the Early Years department.
Following on from that, I spent several years working at the Shell school on Sakhalin Island in Far Eastern Russia.
My desire to return to Qatar was strong and I came back to work at Compass International School in 2020. I hold the position of deputy head of primary here at our Themaid campus.
I thoroughly enjoy working in education, it satisfies my need to be a life-long learner, to challenge myself to continually improve, learn new skills and better myself. These are all attributes I encourage and seek to develop in the students and teachers I work with.
