I completed my degree in BSc Human Nutrition at London Metropolitan University and during my third year, I completed a school placement at a secondary school in Tottenham. I liaised with the talented team in the DT department interacting with the students, learning how to plan lessons and support students completing small tasks, this is when I realised I can do this, I want to become a teacher.
I applied for my Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Design and Technology at Roehampton University where I started my teaching career at a multicultural and diverse Academy in south west London. I thoroughly enjoyed working there for five years where I became a Pastoral and Progress Manager then leading on to become Head of DT. In my sixth year in teaching, I returned back to Wales for a year as a Director of Creative Design where I taught both Art & DT from Year 7-11. This is where I found that I wanted to spread my wings again and start a new adventure and teach in Qatar in 2019.
I have a passion for Netball where I played for the local council while I was at school, and I have continued to play as a hobby and umpire at competitions for a local company in London.secondary students.
I grew up in Wales so this is the place that I call home in a small seaside town on the south Wales coast. This is where I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, visiting the Brecon Beacons, walking along the coast, spending time in nature and on the beach.
