Mouna Akawie

Arabic Teacher

I was born and raised in Aleppo, Syria, where I graduated from Aleppo University and received my Bachelors in Arabic Literature.  I got a wonderful chance to teach Arabic in my home city for several years.

I moved to Qatar six years ago and taught Arabic straight after, this is my first year at Compass International School Doha. I have a passion for teaching Arabic because it is my mother language that I am proud of, and I hope to be able to help my students develop and master reading and writing Arabic fluently.

My goal is to make Arabic a much more enjoyable lesson for students, as well as making them understand the importance of it in everyday life. I want my students to have a passion for reading Arabic literature which is filled with morals and great meanings.
