I graduated from Aston University with an honours degree in Business Administration, and shortly afterwards completed my PGCE in secondary mathematics. After teaching in Hertfordshire for 4 years, I decided to make the move abroad and experience international school education. I have been lucky enough to have worked with mathematics and economics students in International Schools in China, Latin America, and the Caribbean, before moving to a British School in Valencia, Spain three years ago to lead the mathematics department.
In each of my schools I have taken a leading role in student sporting teams, notably football, and have also played a key role in developing extra-curricular activities in mathematics, for example, maths clubs and competitions.
Outside of school, I like to spend time with my family, which involves a lot of chasing around after my two-year-old daughter… I have a keen interest in running, cycling, and football. I also enjoy watching my football team and rugby team whenever I get the chance.
