U10A Boys Football
NAS Lions 5—4 Greenfield

After winning the Division 8 U11s championship last year, Mr. Johal has taken the reigns of the U10s—hoping to have just as much success. With the 1st game of the season comes high expectation and the U10s lived up to those expectations. In a pulsating match, that was end to end, the NAS Lions roared to victory. Darius opened the scoring finishing off a slick move created by Man of the Match—Harry Robertson. Only for Greenfield to equalize immediately. However, Darius Cassia showed his passing ability by setting up Edward Reynolds to make it 2-1 before half time. Tragedy struck in the second half when Greenfield equalized, but an amazing strike by Edward made it 3-2 to NAS. However, uncertainly in the defence allowed Greenfield to capitalize and score. Leo, who was captain, made several smart saves to keep NAS in. Darius scored again to make it 4-3, but in the last few moments Greenfield made it 4-4. However, not all was lost. With the last kick of the game, Nero Jones rose like a salmon to power in the winning header! 5-4 victory to NAS!!
