During Key Stage 4 our students prepare to take the i/GCSE examinations at the end of Year 11. The courses are designed to follow on from studies during Key Stage 3. The i/GCSE programme is the world's most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 years old and is an excellent preparation for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and A Levels pathway. It is a highly recognised qualification by leading colleges, universities and employers worldwide.
Our students are taught by specialist teachers who are dedicated enthusiasts of their subjects and who guide them through the more in depth study of their chosen subjects, tailoring their learning to their interests.
In order to succeed, our students are expected to rise to the challenges they will face. Students will need to adopt mature and responsible study habits and make the most of the support and advice offered by tutors and subject teachers.
The courses our students follow are designed to engage and stimulate young people. Personalised teaching methods are used that cater to different learning styles. Some students prefer to work independently and others are more productive in a group; some like to read about things while others prefer a more ‘hands-on’ approach - whatever their strengths are, our teachers create the most condusive settings and opportunities for our students.
