While teaching across the primary phase my passion for Early Years education grew and I completed my Masters in Education, specialising in Early Years Education in 2009. I then utilised my skills and became an Advanced Skills Teacher for Early Years in 2010. I previously led an Early Years unit in Malaysia before moving onto Dubai.
I firmly believe that learning is an opportunity for all children to achieve their aspirations. The importance of learning through play and personalised learning is at the heart of my professional practice. I always seek ways to enliven and deepen the learning experiences for all learners through a child-initiated and relevant curriculum. In today’s quickly evolving world, it is paramount that children are not only filled with knowledge but that they are supported to acquire the skills of being resilient, resourceful, reflective and to be able to problem solve independently and with others.
I have lived in Dubai for the past 3 years with my husband and 3 children. You will often find us at the sidelines of a rugby or football match or at an athletics competition. I am really proud of all the accomplishments we have achieved so far at NAS Dubai and I am excited about what next year brings.
