I graduated from the University of Northumbria, England in 2008 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Primary Education. I was exceptionally lucky to have my first ever teaching post in the Primary School I once attended, alongside the teachers who once taught me. Following on from that I taught across the primary year groups in a small school in the North- East of England. From these experiences I knew whole heartedly that my passion to teach was within the early years of education.
My role in England was very satisfying, however I felt my knowledge and skills held value to a new challenge. In August 2014, I moved to the United Arab Emirates, which has been one of my proudest achievements to date. I have taught in an International School in Dubai for the past 4 years and have held the posts of Curriculum Leader and Head of Nursery as well as classroom teacher.
The UAE has provided a vast amount of opportunity for me in my career and I am extremely excited to be joining the team at NAS. The teaching ethos and pedagogy in the early years at Nord Anglia Dubai is truly inspirational and very innovative. I know that by being a part of this outstanding team, the knowledge and skills I have acquired will continue to flourish.
During my spare time I enjoy a good bar of chocolate, cinema outings, socialising with friends and visiting the many delicious restaurants that Dubai has to offer. I also adore performing arts and musical theatre. Over the years I have had the opportunity to take on the roles of various leading ladies within a theatre company in England. My favourite role to date has been fulfilling a childhood dream of playing the character of Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. My passion of singing and drama will be evident in my classroom.
