It was whilst working at the school that I decided to complete my PGCE in Drama and subsequently went on to teach Drama and English to KS3 and KS4 - a job that I absolutely loved. I was fortunate, in this role to work with a wide variety of children with differing needs; Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ASD, ADD and ADHD and this is where my true passion with teaching lies. I strongly believe that all children can achieve, they may just need to learn or look at something in a different way.
5 years ago I decided to leave my school, after 10 years and move abroad, taking on a new positions as Secondary Inclusion teacher at a mainstream school here in Dubai. In this position I was heavily involved in creating personalised timetables for the pupils that I taught, introducing new qualifications and developing skills; both academically and socially.
I have loved living in Dubai these past 5 years and have taken advantage of its prime location and have been very fortunate to build up the stamps in my passport and travel to so many new countries.
I thoroughly enjoy being part of the Inclusion Team at NAS Dubai and believe that all students deserve an outstanding education that enables them to learn to their full potential.
