I am currently in my eleventh year of teaching and during this time, I have been blessed to have been able to teach Islamic Education both in the UAE and UK at various schools. I have also taught numerous courses on the art of Qur’anic recitation to working professionals in the UK since the publication of my book ‘Tajweed Rules for Qur’anic Recitation’. At the beginning of 2015, I became a Cambridge IGCSE Islamiyat examiner and this is an area where I feel I can offer greater support to our students who wish to sit an IGCSE in Islamic. Prior to joining NAS Dubai, I was an Islamic Education teacher for non-Arabic speakers and Coordinator of Outstanding Teaching and Learning at Kings’ School Al Barsha (2014-16) and Kings’ School Dubai (2012-14) teaching students from Year 1 to 11.
I currently live in Dubai with my wife and two little girls. During my spare time I enjoy creating songs, collecting rarities, cooking a wide range of foods, socialising with friends, travelling the world and spending time with my family at every available opportunity.
I am really excited about my new adventure with NAS Dubai. I am equally looking forward to creating a vibe of excitement when it comes to Islamic Education lessons via dynamic, innovative and inspiring teaching methods and so too creative learning so that we can create tomorrow’s leaders and young people in the process.
