I am delighted to be working here in the Physical Education Department at NAS Dubai.
Having taught Physical Education for the past 8 years, in two schools in Leeds (UK) and at GEMS Wellington Academy (UAE), I moved to NAS Dubai in 2013 and I can honestly say have never worked in such a strong, skilled and highly motivated Physical Education team who are so willing to go above and beyond what they do, to provide outstanding opportunities for their students and teams.
I am passionate about ensuring every student at NAS Dubai has a positive experience of Physical Education. I firmly believe that PE plays a vital role in a young person's development, building towards a healthy and active lifestyle. It also provides young people with an opportunity developing lifelong skills such as communication, teamwork and resilience which are imperative for a successful future career.
My philosophy extra-curricular activities is that it should be both inclusive and competitive, ensuring that all students can have the opportunity to learn and improve their knowledge and performance across a wide range of sports.
In 2011, I qualified as a teacher gaining a PGCE in Secondary Physical Education with QTS at Leeds Carnegie University. I have previously worked in various roles in education which include Head of House and Head of year and currently take on responsibility in the PE department for Primary boys games.
Outside of school I thoroughly enjoy taking part in rugby, running, football, cycling, tennis and cricket and I am currently training to take part in next year’s Ironman Dubai 70.3 triathlon.
Here’s to another successful sporting year ahead at NAS Dubai!
