I believe that I am an enthusiastic, ambitious teacher of Physical Education who has had the fortunate experience working in a Girls Grammar school and an Independent Co-education School in the UK. As well as teaching, I have coached sports in a variety of educational settings throughout England, Wales and Spain whilst perusing my studies. I have gained the experience to teach a vast majority of team and individual sports and would grasp at the opportunity to continue to develop my knowledge in all sports.
My passion for teaching has stemmed from a multitude of experiences in sport and a huge drive from my family, especially my dad, he is my role model and was my PE teacher in secondary school. Here at NAS Dubai I hope to inspire, challenge and support all pupils, encouraging them to be the best that they can be, to enjoy what they are doing and pursuit their talents. I look to motivate all pupils providing high quality teaching and learning at all levels. I want all of our pupils to get involved and enjoy sport for fun, health and recreation, regardless of ability.
My personal achievements in sport include being ranked 5th in the Javelin in the UK School Games, Swimming for the Welsh Colleges, being the North West Triathlon Champion and a member of the North West Handball Squad. I have also represented my County in Netball and Cross Country. Although I am not competing in high level sport anymore, I still lead a healthy active lifestyle; playing touch rugby, netball, volleyball and swimming in my spare time. I have learnt, through sport, that dedication and hard work can really make a difference to your achievements.
