Jeremy Gilpin

My family and I moved to Dubai and were fortunate to be a part of the opening of NAS Dubai in 2014.

We moved from Beijing where I taught PE at Nord Anglia Education’s British School of Beijing at the Shunyi campus. Prior to my teaching career I worked as a chef and an Information Technology professional within the education sector.

When I was a student I was fortunate to have several teachers who made a huge difference in my life. As a PE teacher it is my belief that physical activity and sport are integral components to the balanced growth and development of each and every child. It is our responsibility as educators and specifically as physical education teachers to help guide our students as they explore their potential and discover their own inner athlete. Over the past few years I’ve shifted the majority of my teaching to Primary and Early Years and with two daughters in the Primary school it has been a pleasure watching them grow and mature under the guidance of our fantastic teachers here at NAS Dubai.

Outside of the classroom I’ve coached a number of different sports and am the lead for the Basketball programme. I feel honored to have coached a talented group of girls who brought our first U16 Division 1 championship to the school in 2018. I’ve worked with our Swim squads, coaching both Primary and Secondary squads and have also coached the Primary Athletics squads.

I’m filled with pride when I think about the incredible growth and maturity that NAS Dubai has experienced over the past seven years. Our students are the foundation of our community, and it is my professional mission to help them reach their potential.
