I was born in Jacksonville Florida, but grew up in a small town called Helensburgh in Scotland. I have a BEd (Honours) degree in Physical Education Teaching from The University of Edinburgh. I have been teaching for five years and spent four of those years teaching in Dubai. I have taught a variety of primary and secondary aged students also teaching GCSE PE and BTEC Sport as well as being an Assistant Head of House for the past three years.
My main sporting passion is gymnastics, which has stemmed from a young age and having the opportunity to compete at an elite level and to represent Scotland. I have spent the last 4 years building school gymnastics across Dubai through creating school competitions, which has allowed all ages and all levels to compete. This is something I am very excited to bring to Nord Anglia and to be given the opportunity to develop even further within the school.
During my spare time I like to stay fit and healthy through regular training at the gym. I also enjoy traveling and visiting new places around the world.
I believe all students should have the opportunity to access physical education in an enjoyable way to motivate them to continue to be physically active throughout life. I pride myself on the relationships I build with students and the lessons I teach making them both challenging yet enjoyable for all. I am thoroughly looking forward to starting at NAS Dubai and joining a fantastic PE department.
