At the age of eighteen I travelled to the United States of America to take up a prestigious football scholarship at an American college. It was here that tragedy struck - I received an injury which would affect my dreams of playing at the highest level.
It is often the failure and unrealised dreams that make one appreciate what is truly important in life. It was here, thoroughly miserable and at the realisation that Old Trafford would never be chanting my name, that I discovered a passion even greater than football.
After my injury, I turned to football coaching for the remainder of my scholarship. I found it so rewarding to help others achieve their dreams. I had found a vocation better than even playing for my beloved Manchester United.
During my time at NAS Dubai, I have established a reputation for providing an outstanding education which I have backed with dedicated pastoral care. From creating a crime scene for budding reporters and detectives to children battling each other in a pirate war, my lessons are engaging, exciting and always captivate the learners.
In my role as Head of Primary IT, I believe that technology is essential to our lives and children must be taught to be able to participate effectively in this digital world. I believe I can inspire children with my passion and enthusiasm for technology to prepare them for the digital age.
