Following a PGCE at the University of Worcester, I gained substantial teaching experience across Foundation Stage and Primary. During this time, I learned the importance of understanding the different stages of cognitive development and the teacher’s role in facilitating learning at the optimum time. I love to create a learning environment that stimulates the thoughts of all children in the class and promotes opportunities for enquiry. As a creative and passionate teacher, with a rigorous approach to delivering a high-quality curriculum, I take pride in tailoring an ambitious learning journey to the needs of individuals.
Prior to joining NAS, my most recent employment was at BIS Abu Dhabi, where I spent almost eight years working across Key Stage One and Two. I learned a lot about what makes a happy school during my time at BIS, with its warm, welcoming ethos and vibrant international community. I have enjoyed building on this experience at NAS Dubai and look forward to teaching in Year One again next academic year.
At weekends and for holidays I love to spend time with my family. We enjoy adventure and exploring new destinations. I have recently taken up golf, which has been a steep learning curve and opened my eyes to the challenge of learning something completely new for the first time.
