I am getting married this summer in Ireland and my new husband will be joining me on the big move to Dubai. We are very excited!
I am from a small town in the North West of Ireland. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education from Queens University Belfast in 2013. Teaching has always been my dream job. I have taught in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and SET and I have loved every minute of it. It is my ambition to help all children become the best person they can be, to reach for the stars. In my teaching I strive to develop children not only academically, but personally and socially too. I tailor my teaching approach to suit each child.
Children’s needs and abilities differ and it is vital to adapt lessons to cater for the needs of everyone. I always promote a friendly, positive classroom environment where my students are comfortable to learn. Happy children are successful children.
Sports is my passion; both playing and watching. In particular I like basketball and Gaelic football (an Irish version of football). I love to travel too. I am excited to experience a new culture, live in a buzzing city, and teach in a fantastic school. However, I am a little nervous too. It will be a big change for me. I need to bring plenty of suncream. I hope to learn as much from the children as they will from me.
I am really looking forward to being part of the NAS team and working with the children and talented staff in Year 2.
