Since joining NAS Dubai, I have been excited by the way in which it seems to open doors for both children, teachers and parents alike through its community spirit, building confidence in individuals and providing challenging opportunities and the chance to try out new things.
I am an experienced KS2 teacher and prior to my move to Dubai, I taught in the UK in both the state and independent sectors. During this time, I supported many children (and their parents!) through the KS2 SATS, Common Entrance and 11+ processes and I have an excellent understanding of the demands and final goals of the KS2 curriculum.
As a teacher, my hope is that children in my class are happy, challenged and motivated, growing in independence so that they leave with the confidence to fulfil their aspirations. I am a firm believer that friendliness, kindness and good humour account for an awful lot in life and I aim to ensure that this is echoed in my classroom.
Outside of school, I love adventure, travel and sunshine – so Dubai is the perfect place for me! I enjoy getting involved in all that Dubai has to offer from socialising to festivals, to dining out, to beach life.
