I am originally from Liverpool in the UK and moved to Dubai in 2015. Being half Algerian, living in the UAE for 6 years has certainly enabled me to embrace my Arabian roots.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Key Stage 2/3 Education and English in 2011 and completed my NQT year in the UK in a Year 5 class. As part of my degree, I taught from EYFS up to Key Stage 3 and spent time in a range of Primary classrooms and Secondary English classrooms.
I have taught at NAS Dubai as an EYFS class teacher and Year 5 class teacher, whilst also holding the role of Head of Primary English. My real passion, after my students, is curriculum and over the years I have really enjoyed collaborating with other subject leads and working with different teams to build innovative curriculum models.
I love living in Dubai and teaching in such an exciting and cultured city. Before moving to the UAE, I taught full-time for 4 years in the UK across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and have been very lucky to work in a range of settings. During my career, I have held a range of positions including Language Lead and Reading Coordinator for Early Years, Key Stage 1 and 2.
My aim is to instill a love of learning in children, providing them with fun, creative learning experiences and supporting them in their individual development to a positive and successful future. I love the philosophy of Nord Anglia Education and NAS Dubai, where children are encouraged to reach for their dreams, try something new and to be ambitious.
I am enthusiastic and enjoy meeting new people. I am a lover of literature and can often be found with a book in hand. I enjoy travelling and have been very lucky to visit some amazing places since living in the Middle East.
