Year 5

I am originally from a village in the outskirts of Glasgow, where prior to my career in teaching I worked in Business and Management. That was until 2007, when my travelling bug kicked in and I embarked on a gap year exploring some amazing countries around the world, making some incredible memories and lifelong friends. When I returned to Scotland, I studied at Strathclyde University and qualified as a Primary Teacher in 2011.

Working in the international setting was always a dream and coming to Dubai, I have not been disappointed. I have watched it develop into an amazing city full of opportunity with values that are admired and respected. I fully enjoy everything this country has to offer and have embraced many new experiences.
My original plan was to come to Dubai for two years, and I now cannot believe I have just completed my sixth year here, at NAS! I am privileged to have been part of the school from its infancy stage and have played an integral role in how we have grown and developed in this tough, competitive environment. As a committed and passionate class teacher, across KS1 and KS2, I have a strong understanding of the Nord Anglia mission statement for its pupils, staff and parents.
My key focus is to build excellent relationships with all pupils. I pride myself on developing a positive, safe and nurturing classroom ethos where pupils are growing as confident individuals, responsible citizens, effective contributors and successful learners. Putting the child at the center of everything I do is a high priority.
I am very much looking forward to another successful year ahead and creating many more amazing memories!
