I have been working in education for over 10 years and have been a fully qualified teacher for seven years, where I have taught in all years in Key Stage 2.
Having studied Media and Advertising, I had always envisioned a career in that field of work. However, whilst at university, I played football at semi-professional level, was a developmental coach in youth clubs and also coached youth level football. These experiences allowed me to identify that my passion was in education - nurturing and developing young people to reach their full potential.
I am passionate about education because I aim to not only educate but to be a role model to the children in my care. Teaching has also allowed me to give back to my community in a positive way, being a pillar of support and inspiration to young people, teaching them that opportunities are available if you extend yourself and aspire to be more.
During my spare time I like to keep active, which involves playing a lot of sports (predominantly football), going to the gym, visiting the cinema and enjoying delicious dishes from different cultures.
