Year 6, Primary Science Lead

I am an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who has worked predominantly in Years 5 and 6.

I was fortunate enough to join NAS Dubai in its foundation year and I have watched it grow not only in size, but also in its values, reputation and the opportunities it offers our students.

Teaching continues to be my real passion and I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of working in this rapidly evolving profession.  Working in the UAE, UK and Spain has allowed me to develop a variety of pedagogical techniques and broaden my cultural awareness. I pride myself on delivering highly creative lessons; this in turn allows the children in my class to be enthusiastic about their learning and always feel engaged.

I have a keen interest in maths and science and have taken on the role of Head of Science in the Primary school. Within this role, I endeavour to promote an interest in science and create keen and enthusiastic scientists who will pave the way for a sustainable and progressive future.

I love the community feel of NAS Dubai. My two children attend the school and my wife also enjoys working here. My family and I love living in this vibrant city and experiencing everything it has to offer. I am a keen sportsman and having been brought up in New Zealand, I am never far from a rugby ball and have a great passion for this sport in particular.
