In order to further my skills and experience, I moved to Dubai in 2015 where I taught in Year 4, 5 and 6 progressing to Head of Year in both Year 4 and 6. During the past year, I have had the pleasure of coordinating Science across the whole school, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Inside and outside of the classroom, I believe in valuing and caring for the whole child; ensuring their personal, social and emotional well being is supported and developed. I encourage an enquiry based approach towards learning; inspiring children to be creative, take risks, think deeply and build perseverance. As a teacher, I feel the need to fully prepare the children for their futures, ensuring they leave school with the skills and attitude to become independent, responsible global citizens
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time at the beach, scuba diving and more recently I’ve developed a love of cycling. I participated in my first triathlon in April and have challenged myself to another one in October!
I am incredibly excited about joining the Year 6 team at NAS; a school full of vivacious, enquiring minds.
I look forward to a year of laughter, discovery and working together to challenge ourselves.
