I’m from a town called Tonbridge in Kent, UK. I attended Bath Spa University where I completed my degree, and later, my PGCE to become a teacher. In April of this year, I got married on a beach in Florida, USA.
I completed a BSc Honours degree in Environmental Science (joint honours Biology and Geography), graduating in 2009. After I graduated I spent some time as a Learning Support Assistant at a Secondary school in my home town. My time there confirmed that I wanted to become a teacher. I later completed my PGCE in Primary Education.
I love to teach and after qualifying, I taught for 4 years in the UK in Independent and State schools, then I spent 2 years here in the UAE at Kent College Dubai before joining NAS in 2018. I particularly enjoy working with Year 5 and 6.
I am an avid rugby fan and I can’t wait for the Rugby World Cup this year. I used to play as Prop at a range of levels for my local team, Tonbridge Juddians RFC. Unluckily, a knee injury has stopped me from returning to the pitch. I still love helping to coach the Under 11 and Under 10 Rugby teams at NAS, as well as watching both England and my favourite team: Wasps, play.
Along with Rugby I am well known as being a passionate ‘geek.’ I love films, playing guitar (badly), listening to audiobooks, reading comic books and playing video games on my various consoles. I am a qualified Open-Water Scuba Diver, so expect to see some videos and photos from my summer dives in the Great Barrier Reef. I also enjoy traveling, I celebrated my 30th birthday by Dog Sledding in Finland and seeing the Northern Lights and my honeymoon by traveling around Australia.
