After studying at the University of York I moved to the Midlands to start my teaching career. After four enjoyable years I made the move to NAS Dubai where I am now in my fourth year.
I have held numerous positions such as Head of Year 10 Mathematics, enjoying the impact my direction has had on the year group’s education within the subject. I have also held the responsibility of Numeracy Co-ordinator, promoting Numeracy around the school, inspiring students and staff alike to engage in Mathematics through fun challenges. I gain great satisfaction from making a difference in young people’s lives. My ambition as a teacher is to create a positive working environment where learning is an enjoyable and rewarding experience full of challenges, positive engagement and enthusiasm.
Outside of the classroom my passion is sports, in particular tennis and football and I have enjoyed playing competitively from a young age. I also have a passion for travel, having had the opportunity to explore South East Asia and Australia after graduating from University. I am currently enjoying the opportunity living in Dubai gives me to discover new places and cultures.
I am a big advocate of getting involved with extra curricula activities. I believe exposing students to a variety of experiences helps them reach their potential academically but also helps them develop into well rounded individuals.
Working in an International school had always been an ambition of mine and I am loving the experience. At such a prestigious school like NAS there are always more challenges and experiences to be had, I look forward to embracing them!
