I was born in Dulwich, a borough of South London. I then grew up in and around the region in various villages in Surrey before moving up to Cambridge. I took a traditional route through education leaving the private school system with both GCSEs and A-levels. I then went onto study an undergraduate degree in Economics and Mathematics at Durham University followed by a PGCE in Mathematics at the University of Nottingham. I qualified to teach with the charity TeachFirst in Peterborough before moving to my current school in Dubai, during this time I have taught both Mathematics and Economics. I believe in lifelong education and my philosophy of kaizen has led me to continue further studies in a Masters in Education at the University of Nottingham.
During my career I worked as a Tax Advisor for EY for 3 years before moving into Education. I have held many positions including Head of Houses, Key Stage 3 coordinator for Mathematics and Head of Mathematics. Through both TeachFirst and more recently in Dubai I have been working with students from a wide range of backgrounds. I have extensive experience with both the International and UK Curriculums, GCSE, IGCSE, A-levels and IB.
During my spare time I enjoy running, attending gym classes and football. Having recently run the London Marathon 2018 and Tokyo Marathon 2019. I am looking forward to joining the NAS team in August. As I am currently living and working in Dubai I am aware of the reputation for excellence that NAS Dubai holds in the education community and I look forward to joining and making a positive impact on all students.
