I believe that a good education is a human right and paves the way for a bright future. I am therefore delighted to be part of Nord Anglia International School Dubai, which prides itself on supporting and enriching each student academically, socially and personally on their educational journey to success.

Growing up in the cultural hub that is London, I am privileged to have experienced inspirational and outstanding teaching. It is this, which encouraged me to pursue a subject I have genuine passion for at university level. I completed my BA in English Literature at the University of Reading and then went on to pursue further studies in Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology at Regents University London. Experiencing such positive facilitators throughout my educational life has enriched my own creative development. It has motivated me to become a creative and dedicated teacher who strives to always engage and inspire future learners. I completed my PGCE at The Institute of Education (UCL) and obtained Qualified Teacher Status in 2013.

I have been working as a qualified teacher for three years in an innovative and progressive inner city London school. I greatly enjoy the challenges that teaching brings and particularly love teaching my degree specialism, English Literature. I endeavour to foster a passion of both literature and language through creative practise that incorporates a range of different pedagogies, aiming to inspire a love of learning. I pride myself on creating an inclusive learning environment built on a foundation of respect, resilience and high personal expectations. Over the years, I have developed my skill set to produce a positive and productive learning environment. I value and believe in a holistic model of teaching - I am proud to be an educator who supports my students to attain academic excellence, whilst nurturing them pastorally. A meaningful learning environment enables students to develop independence and to become motivated, autonomous learners; the skills, which I believe deliver educational success and lay the foundation for a fulfilling adult life.

Outside the classroom, I love to explore and travel. Discussing good books, films and documentaries over a delicious meal is often how I love to spend my free time. I enjoy participating in team sports, both recreationally and competitively; exploring what Dubai has to offer in terms of water sports is something I cannot wait to be involved with.
